Meet with a career counsellor to discuss your career related questions. Career counsellors work with all
students including Masters, Ph.D’s and recent graduates in helping them realize their career goals.
Book a time to meet with a career counsellor using the following services:
Same Day Counselling (Career Talk) – an initial 30-minute meeting to discuss your career-related questions. Register online through same-day counselling beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Pre-booked Career Counselling meeting - a follow-up meeting to continue discussing your career-related questions. This service is offered on a pre-booked basis for students who have already attended a Career Talk appointment or have been referred through a Career Centre workshop. Please call 416-978-8010 to book an appointment.
Job Search and Coaching
- How do I go about finding a job?
- How can I gain experience in my field?
- How can I prepare for my interview?
Meet with an employment coach to discuss your job search questions. Employment coaches work with students and recent graduates by helping them prepare successful job search strategies (non-academic), tools and techniques.
Same Day Employment Coaching – Book a 30-minute meeting with a coach to discuss your job search questions. You can book an appointment the same day beginning at 9:00 a.m. daily.
Resume Services
- What can I do to improve my resume?
Same Day Resume Service – Book a 20-minute meeting with a peer advisor and have your updated employment resume or cover letter reviewed. The sign-up schedule goes live daily at 9:00am. Please bring your updated resume OR cover letter with you and a copy of a job description (if available). If you have never written a resume before, please attend a Resume and Cover Letter Basics workshop or learn more with our Online Resume Tutor.
Practice Interviews
- How can I improve my interview skills?
Same Day Practice Interviews – Book a 30-minute meeting to practice your interview and get feedback on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The sign-up schedule goes live at 9:00am on these days. Please bring your updated resume OR cover letter with you and a copy of a job description (if available). If you have never attended an interview before, please attend a Interview Techniques workshop.
